First Love 04:01
Holy, Holy, Holy, First Love Only, only, only Hands held high to You, we praise Our beloved Messiah Our hearts are filled with love and praise To You, Our King We praise You, fall at Your feet, dear King So refreshing Healing and in-filling Spirit, we adore You now You, Our King Thank You for giving all Your life Thank You for sharing a light so bright Thank You for saving us and healing us All of You in our lives All of You in us
2.
Deeper 04:30
Turn my ear to the whisper of Your voice in my soul That I may walk, ever closer with You I want to be, wholly devoted to You Pressing in, to the truth of who You are and falling... Deeper, deeper in love Set my eyes, on You alone That my way, would lead only to Your door I want to see You, waiting with open arms To be held, in the grace of One so strong and falling... Deeper, deeper in love Saviour, come save my soul Lover of my soul, I'm coming home I'm coming home, I'm coming home again
3.
Weightless 04:30
Lord, send your mercy down, weightless, like a dove Everything we have, is from Your hand Fix our eyes upon, the One upon the throne Let us not forget that this life is Yours So we worship and we bow down on our knees In a whisper, in the silence is when You speak And we cry, “Holy, holy are you Lord” Quiet our restless souls, that we may receive Everything You are, is all we need For our lips are dry, and we long to drink Let your presence fall, wash us clean You are the breath in our lungs You are our waking thought You are the reason we live So we worship and bow down on our knees In a whisper, in the silence is when You speak And we cry, “Holy, holy are you Lord” To receive all glory, honor and power, Amen
4.
Majesty 04:49
The flickering light starts to fade The slightest of smiles on your face Is it really all that they said It was before you left Is the light really so bright It shines through closed eyes Warmer than sun on your face With a peace that washes like waves, washes like waves… At your feet a sea of glass Lightning ignites and thunder cracks Finally to look upon Your Face With a peace that washes like waves, washes like waves… Oh, Majesty, Oh, Majesty Receive us, Our King, clothed in white Oh death, where is your sting? We'll sing forever to Our King

about

"...that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." - 1 Peter 2:9

I spent my formative years in Los Angeles, after moving down from Canada at the age of 17. Coming up through the independent music scene, I played in a handful of bands, some more well-known than others - perhaps most notably, Sunday’s Best and as a founding member of LA hardcore-punk band, The Bronx.

I ended up leaving The Bronx in 2007, without any kind of formal public announcement or explanation. It was apparent that it was time for me to move on as I felt the call of my life was pulling me elsewhere.

The idea I had been wrestling with that accelerated my departure from the band was rediscovering the reality of the faith I'd been introduced to in my early teens, perhaps because it stood in such a stark contrast to the life I was living in the band. I had arrived at the idea that God either exists or He doesn’t – and we need to live according to that reality. Choosing not to believe in God has no bearing on His existence, He's either there or He's not. What we think about it doesn’t really matter. Truth is truth regardless of our perception and at the end of our lives we're all accountable for what we've done and the way we've lived.

And that's where the beautiful, cleansing grace of Jesus enters in and washes all of our mess away, stripping us of the poor choices of our past, regardless of what we've done, and clothing us in the white, spotless, perfection of Jesus. All we have to do is believe in His Name and His finished work upon the Cross, where He conquered sin, death and the devil once and for all - and we can be restored in right relationship to our God who created us and loves us.

After a final year in Los Angeles it was apparent that the seasons of my life had changed and so I returned to my hometown of Vancouver. During that time I recognized that I still very much had a desire to continue to create music, something I've always loved doing. Some friends and I decided on a sound that fit the songs I'd been writing that also resonated with us personally and we set off to record this project. Sonically, it shares more in common with the shoegaze scene of the early-90’s than any of my former bands and it was a departure from my acoustic demos but it seemed to work, so we went with it.

My hope is that these songs will help you express your heart in worship towards your Creator and He will draw you ever closer to Him as you make Him the pursuit of your life.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Cor. 5:17)
